UNFOLDING CLOY
PIECE BY PIECE, HERE'S HOW OUR STORY CAME TOGETHER
"Before it became a garment, it was a story."
What happens when an ancient art gets a new lease of life?NOT A REPLICA. A LIVING DIALOGUE.
A motif becomes a graphic. A wall, a print. An architectural line finds its way onto a t-shirt. A centuries-old craft becomes something you put on every day. That’s where we begin.
India has always communicated through what it makes and wears. Patterns, colors, symbols, textiles, architecture, and crafts have carried stories for generations. We believe stories should not be confined to museums or special occasions — they belong in everyday life.
CLOY is a contemporary Indian clothing label that seeks to interpret India’s visual and craft traditions as modern unisex clothing for everyday use. Not a replica of the past, rather reinterpretations of it.

FOLK & ARCHITECTURE
We look to India’s folk art, indigenous craftsmanship, architecture, folklore, and hidden details for cues. Madhubani, Warli, Phad, and stone carvings are our jumping-off points into modern graphics.
THE HUMAN HAND
There’s something special about clothing made by a human hand. A little irregularity. A touch of patience. Our craft is not an embellishment, but an intrinsic soul woven through time and generations.
FOR THE CURIOUS
Inspiration is rooted in history, but expression is contemporary. Something you can wear without thinking — something that has a soul, fits your routine, and travels with you.
THE NAME THAT FOUND US
Cloy is derived from “CLAY.” A material born from the earth and transformed by hands into something entirely new.
Clay has no final form; it takes many shapes. It can be a pot, a sculpture, or a simple diya. But through every single transformation, it retains a deep connection to its origins.
We believe the same with culture. India provides us with the raw material in the form of its art, craft, color, architecture, stories, and symbols. We reshape it for today, because culture is never static like clay. It is passed on generation to generation. Every generation adds its own layer.
